It looks to me like you are standing on the high ground- the hills on the other side of the river- what is it the Arno?- well, that's the way I remember seeing it from the top of the Duomo. That looked like a neat place to go. As I recall. everywhere else you look around Florence from up there is pretty flat. Great shots!
